Identification
One of the largest cockroach species in the world, reaching up to 10 cm in length for females, less for males. They have 2 pairs of beige wings folded over the abdomen. Body is beige-brown with black marking over head and under wings.
Range and habitat
The species occurs in Central America, from Mexico to Colombia, Venezuela and Guianas. Lives in very humid areas with little light such as tree hollows, caves and crevices.

Status : This species’ status has yet to be assessed by IUCN but it’s probably very common to abundant in most of its range.
