Identification
Adults can reach up to 3 cm in length, females being longer than males. Back is dark yellow. Flanks are greenish-beige. Black on cheeks extending to first third of flanks. White band over lips, extending to flanks. Blue-spotted black belly.
Range and habitat
The species is endemic to scattered localities in extreme north Madagascar, including Montagne d’Ambre, montagne des Français and Nosi Hara island. Found in deciduous dry forests near temporary streams, up to 900 meters.

IUCN RED LIST : ENDANGERED
CITES : Appendix II
Status : This species has a very small fragmented range. It is still declining because of over collection for animal trade and deforestation.
