Identification
Adults can reach a length up to 10 cm. Pronounced bony ridges over eyes, concave forehead. Coloration dark brown-gray to beige with a light yellow to beige band on back. Yellow belly. Back and flanks skin covered with small tubercles.
Range and habitat
The species occurs in Pacific and Atlantic versants of Central America, from Mexico (Veracruz) to central Guatemala and east Costa Rica. Lives in lowlands and low montane dry and moist forests. Also disturbed areas.

Status : The species has a fairly large range and remains quite common throughout. It has a tolerance for a wide range of habitats.
