Identification
Body length of 33 cm, tail length of 42 cm, weight of 800 g. Long white tail. Fur is gray-brown to light brown, breast and forelegs are gray. Black face with white to light grey hairs. White ears. Brownish forehead.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in South America, from North-east and south-east Bolivia to eastern Brazil. Lives in lowland forests, savannas, sometimes near urban areas, mostly lowlands.

IUCN RED LIST : LEAST CONCERN
CITES : Appendix II
Status : This species occurs in protected areas and remains mostly common. Some populations are declining because of habitat destruction.
