Identification
Adults can reach up to 8 cm in length, females being bigger than males. Coloration is usually light grey brown to beige-brown, rarely reddish brown with dark green to black blotches on flanks and back. Very warty skin.

Range and habitat
The species is endemic to the state of Texas in south USA. It occurs in central and south-east central parts of Texas, mostly around Bastrop County. Lives in forests, grasslands and woodlands with friable soil and temporary ponds.

IUCN RED LIST : CRITICALLY ENDANGERED
CITES : Not Listed
Status : The species has a very small range and almost all the wild population is known from one area. It’s in continuous decline because of habitat loss.
