Identification
Curved yellow bill with black tip, bright yellow eyering. Dark grey head with white chin, dark brown-grey back and wings with faint barring. White belly with dark brown vertical-oriented spots.
Range and habitat
Southeast Asia, from south Myanmar and Thailand to Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo and west Java. Found in lowland and hill forests, swamp forests and plantations.

IUCN RED LIST : LEAST CONCERN
CITES : Not Listed
Status : The species isn’t considered threatened but remains uncommon to rare in most of its range. Possibly vulnerable to deforestation. Trapping for trade isn’t a threat at this time.
