Identification
Total length of 19 cm for a weight of 46 g. Black head with conspicuous white eye-ring. Rest of plumage beige to light brown, lighter on breast and belly (almost white). Yellow undertail.
Range and habitat
This species occurs in western Asia, from south-central Turkey to Syria, south to North-east Egypt and coastal areas of Arabian peninsula. Lives in semi-deserts, fields, plantations, in well vegetated areas.
