Identification
Adults can grow to 10 cm in length. Body mostly translucent to semi-transparent, silvery pink with bright yellow-green head and eyes. Indistinct longitudinal dark band from gill coverts to tail peduncle. Fins pinkish-violet.
Range and habitat
This species occurs in the western Pacific Ocean, from south Japan and Taiwan to north Australia, Indonesia. Its true range needs more investigation. Found around coral and rocky reefs, from 5 to 40 meters deep.
