Identification
Adults can reach 6,2 cm in length. Cylindrical body, broad elongated snout. Coloration variable with dark olive-grey and yellow vertical bands on flanks. Black and white fins. Horizontal rows of black dots visible on rear part of flanks.

Range and habitat
The species is native to southeast Asia, being found in south-west and central south-east Myanmar and nearby western Thailand. Lives in small streams and clear water rivers with pebbles and rocky bed.

IUCN RED LIST : VULNERABLE
CITES : Not Listed
Status : The species only occurs in three localities in south Myanmar and seen in parts of western Thailand. Threatened by pollution and overcollection.
