Identification
Body length of 49.5 cm, weight of 5.2 kg. Sexually dichromatic species, males being entirely black with buff cheeks. Females are light gray-beige with black face surrounded with white, black crest and slightly buff cheeks.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in South-East Asia and only found in South Vietnam and adjacent South-East Cambodia. Mostly found in wet evergreen forests, very rarely in dry forests, up to 2300 m.

IUCN RED LIST : ENDANGERED
CITES : Appendix I
Status : The species is legally protected but still declining because of habitat destruction, capture for the wildlife trade (killing mothers for getting babies).
