Identification
Adults can grow to 8 cm in length. Round belly, flattened and broad back, protruding mouth. Lower half of body and belly white. Upper half brown to black with thick yellow lines forming circles, curves and figure-eight patterns. Clear fins.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in South East Asia and is endemic to the southern third of Peninsular Malaysia. So far, it is only known from Pengulon Patie in Johor state. Lives in freshwater rivers, nothing else is known.
