Identification
Adults grow to 3,5 cm in length. Elongated body with pointed snout. Belly very light with a silvery-white line. Broad black longitudinal line on mid flanks with broad shiny white upper edge. Upper flanks with dark dots and edges on scales.

Range and habitat
This species is found in South America and is endemic to Brazil where it occurs in the Capim river basin, in the state of Para. Lives likely in shallow rivers, probably in blackwater areas.
