Identification
Adults will grow to 16 cm in length. Dorsal and anal fins slightly elongated and mostly bright orange to yellow. White tail fin. Coloration mostly brown with orange dots on whole flanks except belly. Throat and belly whitish-grey.
Range and habitat
The species lives in the western Pacific Ocean, from Indonesia to Philippines, Palau, Fiji and Vanuatu, north to Luzon, south to Great Barrier reef. Lives in coral-rich areas of outer reefs, from 3 to 45 meters deep.

Status : The species has a large range and isn’t targeted by fisheries, being only occasionally caught for the trade. So far, it faces no threats.
