Identification
The species can reach between 10 and 13 cm in length. Fairly deep body with steep forehead. Both sexes have elongated dorsal fin ray and tails. Female is light orange with black spot on dorsal fin. Male bright orange-red with pink markings.
Range and habitat
The species occurs in the western Pacific Ocean, around Korean coasts, Japan, Taiwan and New Caledonia. Lives in rocky areas, from 15 to at least 50 meters deep.
