Identification
Adults grow to 14 cm in length for a weight of 10 g. Long tail held upright. Long and thin dark bill. Dark and dull green to olive green tail, wings and back, buff flanks and breast, clearer belly. Grey cheeks, crown light rufous-brown.
Range and habitat
Subspecies found in southeast China and north Vietnam. Species occurs from Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka to southeast China, Malaysia and Java. Lives in bushy covers and shrubs in parks, gardens, cultivated areas, to 2100 m.
