Identification
Adults reach 44 cm for a weight of 267 g. Bright green plumage with yellow tinge on neck and breast, dark thighs. Red eye-ring with small white line above and longer white line below. Very long white-tipped forward pointing crest.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in south-central Africa, from western Angola to south DR Congo, north Zimbabwe and west Tanzania. Small population in south Kenya. Lives in evergreen forests and riparian woodlands, from 600 to 2500 m.
