Identification
The species can reach 26 cm in length. Fairly large head with clear eyes and bright yellow bill. White face, hood and breast, faint black collar. Rest of plumage orange to orange-brown, darker on wings. Long light brown tail.
Range and habitat
The species occurs in South-East Asia, from extreme south China and western side of Myanmar to south Vietnam and Peninsular Malaysia. Lives in broadleaf evergreen forests, second growth and bamboo forests, to 1800 m.
