Identification
The maximum length of this species is unknown but likely at least 1.50 meters. Body color ranges from yellow-brown to dull brown, sometimes with darker mottling. No marking on dorsal part of hood. Dark brown throat and bands on belly.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in south-east Asia and is endemic to Myanmar, being found in the central-northern area around Mandalay, Magway and Sagaing. Lives in dry Acacia forests and woodlands, up to 1000 meters.

IUCN RED LIST : VULNERABLE
CITES : Appendix II
Status : The species is endemic to a small area where habitat degradation occurs. The species is often collected for local meat trade and is under severe threat.
