Identification
The species reaches 9 cm in length. Deep and more rectangle-looking body than other species of its genus. Coloration almost entirely lemon-yellow with violet-blue area on first two-thirds of back, reaching up to eye and mid-body.

Range and habitat
This species is found in the Indo-Pacific area, around Cocos-Keeling atoll, parts of Indonesia, Guam, Palau, Fiji and Marshall Islands. Lives in outer coral reef drop-offs, from 20 to 100 meters deep.

IUCN RED LIST : LEAST CONCERN
CITES : Not Listed
Status : The species has a small range but isn’t impacted at all by collection for local and international trade. Its habitat remains preserved for now.
