Identification
he species grows to 19 cm in length, no weight measurements available. Plumage bright green, yellow-green on belly. Black mask and bib with blue-violet band, orange forehead. Subspecies with little yellow around bib and less orange on crow

Range and habitat
This subspecies occurs in east Thailand, Laos and central Vietnam. Species found from India, Sri Lanka and Nepal to Indochina. Lives in forests, forest edges, plantations and gardens, to 1800 meters.

Status : The species is still locally common and occurs in protected areas. It is heavily traded and likely overxploited in the eastern parts of its range.
