Identification
The species can grow to 5 cm in length. Males are bigger than females and have a well-visible T-shaped horn on their rostrum. Coloration is metallic green to red with conspicuous white bands on the cephalothorax and elytrae.
Range and habitat
The species occurs in eastern Africa, from Kenya and Tanzania to Namibia, Zimbabwe and South Africa. Lives in tropical forests and dense humid woodlands, plantations.
