Identification
The species grows to 7 cm in length, females being larger than males. Wide head with truncate snout. Fringes of skin on tarsus margins. Coloration is bright green to blue-green with grey blotches. Lower flanks bright yellow with black lines.
Range and habitat
The species occurs in South America, from Ecuador to South Peru and possibly Bolivia, east to the central Amazonas part of Brazil. Found in the canopy of primary tropical humid forests, in lowlands.

Status : The species remains locally common and occurs in protected areas. It has a large range but could be locally declining because of habitat loss.
