Identification
Adults can reach a cephalothorax length of 5 cm. Eye peduncles are creamy-white, claws relatively small and hairy. Cephalothorax, legs and claws are dark green to olive-green with yellow vertical stripes and clear joints.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in the Indo-Pacific area, from the Red Sea and east Africa to western Pacific ocean, north to south Japan, south to north Australia. Lives in most coral reef areas at shallow depths.
