Notes : No subspecies known.

Identification
No body length and weight measurements available but the species is unmistakable. Males are completely black with white hands and feet. Females are grey with black head and belly. Both sexes have fringes of white hairs on head sides.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in South East Asia, from south-east Thailand to south-west Laos and north and west Cambodia. Lives in moist and seasonally evergreen forests, up to 1200 m.

IUCN RED LIST : ENDANGERED
CITES : Appendix I
Status : The species is endangered by deforestation. Hunting and collection of young specimens for trade is a major issue in Cambodia.
