Identification
The species can grow to 5.6 cm in length. Large head with blunt snout, elongated and thin toes. Body color brown with warty skin and bright green bands forming very large brown blotches on upper flanks. Belly light yellowish-green.

Range and habitat
The species is endemic to the Island of Madagascar and occurs in the Central Plateau area, from Ankaratra to Andringitra. Lives in montane forests, savannas and agricultural areas from 1300 to 2000 m.

IUCN RED LIST : NEAR THREATENED
CITES : Not Listed
Status : The species has a small range where it is still common but its habitat is more and more at risk of being degraded. Could be uplisted to Vulnerable.
