Identification
The species can grow to 8 cm in length. Skin covered with large warts, small limbs, blunt snout. Coloration usually beige brown with dark brown to green-brown blotches forming a mottling-like network on back. Darker flanks.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in Southern Africa, as isolated populations in Estiwani, Lesotho, Swaziland, south west Namibia and most of South Africa except far south. Lives in grasslands, karoo, fynbos and other habitat, up to 3400 m.

Status : The species is very adaptable and is common in many parts of its range, facing no known threats at this time.
