Identification
Adults can reach about 5.5 cm in length. Black bar on snout and gill coverts. Body cream-greyish with faint spots. Dorsal fin with golden spots and edge. Anal fin blue, black and yellow edges. Caudal fin with half yellow, half blue edging.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in South-East Asia and is endemic to island of Borneo, occurring in the west of Sarawak, around Kuching and in nearby north Kalimantan. Lives in fast-flowing clear water hill streams in forests with gravel bottom.

IUCN RED LIST : DATA DEFICIENT
CITES : Not Listed
Status : The species has a very small range and its habitat is under pressure from conversion for intensive agriculture. Threats need urgent assessment.
