Identification
The species grows to 8 cm in wingspan. Cephalothorax with white spots. Coloration black (lighter on underside) with light blue spots and lines. Edges of wings with golden-brown tinge. Broader and clearer lines than for other Tirumala.

Range and habitat
Subspecies found in South China, Taiwan, Vietnam and Hainan. Species also occurs in India, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, north Philippines and western Indonesia. Lives in woodlands, plantations, forest edges, suburban parks.

CITES : Not listed
Status : The species is very common and apparently expanding its already very wide range to middle east, western Asia and even accidentally Europe.
