Identification
Adults can grow to 13 cm in wingspan. Body and wings covered with iridescent green scales. Elongated and broad tails and two pink circles on inner sides of hindwings. Two squarish turquoise blotches on outer sides of hindwings.
Range and habitat
This subspecies is endemic to north Taiwan. The species occurs from north India, China and Taiwan to Malaysia and greater Sundas in Indonesia. Lives in primary and secondary forests, woodlands and forest edges.

Status : The species has a large range but its dependence on forests makes it potentially threatened by loss of habitat, especially on islands.
