Identification
Adults can reach a wingspan to 10 cm, usually less. Abdomen black with longitudinal white segmented stripes. Two color morphs : brownish-black with long triangular white markings and yellow wing edges or white with black stripes.

Range and habitat
This subspecies occurs from India to south China and Malaysia. Species also found in Philippines and central Indonesia to Timor. Lives in woodlands, gardens, forest edges, in lowlands and hilly areas.

Status : The species’ status hasn’t been assessed. It is seasonally abundant but is now protected by law in India. No other information.
