Identification
Large fiddler crab growing to up to 5 cm in shell width. Shell and legs olive-green. Eye peduncles brown with blue eyes. Underside is white mixed with beige. Display claw is olive, becoming bright orange with top part being white.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in the Indo-Pacific area, from Myanmar and Andaman Islands to Sumatra, Java, Borneo, Philippines and southern China. Lives in brackish water areas, mudflats, mangroves and estuaries.

Status : This species has a large range and occurs in protected mangrove and wetland areas. It will be safe as long as some of its habitat remains protected.
