Identification
The species grows to about 70 cm in length, males being slightly smaller. Pear-shaped head with rounded snout and big eyes. Coloration usually grey with brownish back and dark-edged clear grey blotches on back. Tail brown.
Range and habitat
The species is found in the Arabian peninsula, in the northern half of Oman and the eastern half of United Arab Emirates. Lives in arid rocky areas, usually near small water bodies, in wadis, around 900 m.

IUCN RED LIST : LEAST CONCERN
CITES : Not listed
Status : The species is relatively common in suitable habitat and seems not to suffer from any threats. It may expend its range in area with artificial irrigation.
