Identification
The species can grow up to 140 cm in length. Body very slender, small head with blunt flattened snout, large greenish eye. Underside greenish-yellow, green lips. Back chestnut-brown, yellow and black longitudinal stripes on flanks.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in South-East Asia, from south Thailand and peninsular Malaysia to Sumatra, Borneo and Java. Lives in lowland rainforests and old secondary humid forests.

IUCN RED LIST : LEAST CONCERN
CITES : Not listed
Status : The species isn’t considered threatened at this point but its habitat is under heavy pressure from human activities and pollution.
