Identification
Body length of 100 cm, shoulder height of 60 cm, weight of 20 kg. Both sexes have horns, reaching 27 cm in length. Coloration dark reddish-brown with white cheek stripe, black nose patch, white rump, belly and underside of legs.

Range and habitat
This subspecies occurs in the Arabian peninsula, as scattered populations in Saudi Arabia, south Yemen, UAE and Oman. Lives in coastal plains and foothills with Acacia trees and good cover.

IUCN RED LIST : ENDANGERED
CITES : Not listed
Status : The species has suffered from hunting and fragmentation of habitat. It is now legally protected, bred and reintroduced in parts of its range.
