Identification
This species can grow up to 5 cm in length. It has a fairly large head with big eyes and blunt snout. Coloration very variable, from green to brown, tan, grey or beige. A regular coloration feature is the thick band from ear through eyes to snout.
Range and habitat
The species occurs in North America on the Pacific coastline from northern California (USA) to British Columbia (Canada) and extreme south Alaska. Lives in all kinds of habitats including man-made habitats, not too far from water.

Status : The species is very common within its range but its populations should be monitored as other related frog species from the same area are declining.
