Identification
Maximum length is between 12 and 15 cm. Global coloration is bright yellow with longitudinal lines made of clear blue dots. Females are much duller and usually don’t display the bright yellow coloration.
Range and habitat
This species is endemic to Lake Tanganyika (Tanzania, DR Congo) and enters the Delta of Malagarasi river. This species is mostly found in rocky shores area but can also occur offshore.

Status : The species is still common in the wild. The main potential threats it faces are overfishing and water pollution.
