Identification
The species grows to about 6 – 7 cm in length, males being smaller than females. Coloration bright green to yellow-green with white belly and small red dots on lower flanks. White lower lip. Large black eye with conspicuous red rim.

Range and habitat
The species is found in South America, in the Amazonian slope of the Andes, from Santa Cruz in Bolivia, northern Argentina and western Mato Grosso in Brazil. Lives in tropical dry forests, occasionally near rainforest edges, to 1800 m

Status : The species isn’t believed to be threatened for the time being. It has a large range and remains at least locally common.
