Identification
Females can grow to 16 cm in length, males are smaller. Body covered with round tubercles. Cranial crests are low and snout is short. Coloration is chocolate brown to brownish black with yellow reticulations. Cream belly.
Range and habitat
The species occurs in the Caribbean area and is endemic to Cuba and nearby smaller islands. Lives in forests, cultivated fields, gardens, often near the sea, up to 140 m.

Status : The species isn’t currently threatened but can be locally affected by intensive agriculture leading to loss of habitat, especially for breeding.
