Identification
Adults can reach up to 10 cm in length, sometimes more. Skin is very warty. Prominent ridges above eyes, small snout. Brown head, light yellowish brown body with black and brown bands and blotches. Brown crossbands on legs.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in the Caribbean area and is endemic to Cuba (in the lowlands only) and nearby Isla de la Juventud. Lives in lowland forests and savannas, up to 70 meters above sea level.

IUCN RED LIST : LEAST CONCERN
CITES : Not Listed
Status : The species was listed as Vulnerable. It has been downlisted to Least Concern but it has a very small range that is now highly fragmented. The species is still probably declining globally.
