Identification
Adults can reach a wingspan of 8 cm. Forewings are sharply pointed and hindwings show elongated tail. Underside looking like dead leaf, upperside bright blue and orange with white spot against orange band. Female is brown and white.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in South East Asia and is endemic to Indonesia, being found only on Java and Sumatra. Lives in moist broadleaf forests and other forests, generally above 800 meters.

CITES : Not listed
Status : The species’ status isn’t assessed but the fact that it depends on forests and lives on only two islands where deforestation is problematic is a threat.
