Identification
Large tree frog growing between 6 and 11 cm in length, females even reaching up to 15 cm. Skin with small warts on back and flanks. Long legs. Coloration is grey-beige to brown with dark stripes on back legs and brown area above eyes.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in Central America, in the Caribbean islands where it is endemic to Hispaniola. Lives in broadleaf forests, sometimes plantations, in lowlands and mountains.

IUCN RED LIST : VULNERABLE
CITES : Not Listed
Status : The species is listed as vulnerable as it is affected by deforestation throughout its range. Its populations are now highly fragmented.
