Identification
Adults can reach a body length of about 6 cm. Males and females are about same size. Broad legs with spiny appendages. Heavy rounded body, wide head, male showing small pointy extensions on head sides. Coloration shiny black.
Range and habitat
The species occurs in South East Asia, from north-east India and Indochina to Peninsular Malaysia and greater Sundas. Lives in open forests, woodlands, grasslands and pasturelands.

Status : The species’ status has never been assessed. It has a large range and seems to have an endless supply of resources with cattle farming.
