Identification
Adults can reach a wingspan of about 12 cm. Slightly elongated hindwing. Coloration is grey-brown and chocolate brown with transversal white stripes and eye-like markings. Inside all brown with light brownish-yellow wing edges.
Range and habitat
The species occurs in South-east Asia, from Myanmar and Indochina to Philippines and western-central Indonesia. This subspecies occurs in the Philippines. Lives in open countries, forest edges, cities, palm plantations.

Status : The species’ status hasn’t been assessed but it is believed to be very common around the numerous palm tree plantations within its range.
