Identification
The species reaches up to 2 meters in length. Large head with flat snout and large eyes. Enlarged front teeth. Coloration is beige-brown to orange-brown with darker blotches edged with black. Black edging on scales inside darker blotches.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in south-east Asia, from south Thailand and Malaysia to western and central Indonesia, including all greater Sundas islands. Lives in humid forests and bushlands, plantations, gardens and cultivated areas.

Status : The species has a large range and can be locally common. It isn’t known to suffer from any threats.
