Identification
Adults can grow to about 7 cm in length with females being much bigger than males. Limbs are flattened to look like flower petals. Coloration when adult is white with brown areas on wings and sometimes strong pink tinge.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in South-east Asia, from Thailand and Vietnam south to Peninsular Malaysia and western Indonesia. Lives in rainforests and woodlands, always with Phalenopsis orchids.

Status : The species’ status hasn’t been assessed but it has a large range and appears to be common. Often collected for the pet trade worldwide.
