Identification
Adults can grow to about 3 to 3.5 cm in length, females being bigger than males. Very variable species. Large eyes with horizontal pupils. Coloration ranges from beige to nearly white or orange with variable amount of mottling on back.

Range and habitat
The species lives in South America, from Panama and Venezuela to the Guianas, north Brazil and Trinidad. Isolated population in Atlantic forest of Brazil. Found both in humid and dry forests, bushland, plantations and urban areas.

Status : The species has a large range and can tolerate living in a broad range of habitats. It is at least fairly common throughout its range.
