Identification
85 cm body length (tail 84 cm), weight up to 27 kg, females are smaller. Slender-bodied species with a prominent white line on hind limbs, white belly and white cheek line. This subspecies has a clear beige-brown coloration.

Range and habitat
This subspecies occurs in Northern Territory, the species is found in Northern Australia and southern New Guinea. Lives in grasslands, open forests and woodlands. Avoid hilly country.

CITES : Not listed
Status : The Australian populations aren’t at risk and occur in many protected areas. The species is sometimes considered a crop pest.
