Identification
Females can reach up to 3.7 cm in length, males are smaller. The species is dark yellow to orange with a row of variable and merging white to clear yellow spots edged with black occurring in front and behind the eyes.

Range and habitat
The species is endemic to the western half of the Island of Zanzibar (Tanzania). It lives in both dry and moist forests, bushy areas and can tolerate a little bit of habitat change as long as its habitat remains « closed ».

IUCN RED LIST : ENDANGERED
CITES : Not listed
Status : The species is locally common within its extremely small breeding range. Habitat clearing for agriculture is the main threat it currently faces.
