Identification
Adults can grow to a wingspan of 7 cm. Large black eyes, body beige with dark band on side. Upperside of wings black with curving rows of large bright green spots. Small tail at end of hindwing. Underside is brown with large green spots.
Range and habitat
The species occurs in South East Asia, from India and Sri Lanka to peninsular Malaysia, Indonesia, New Guinea, Solomon islands and north Australia. Mostly found in forests and woodlands, also in urban gardens.

Status : The species’ status hasn’t been assessed but its wide range coupled with capacity to adapt itself to urban areas make it quite safe so far.
