Identification
Adults can grow up to 160 cm in length. Body fairly slender with head indistinct from neck. Unmistakable with its long thin fleshy horn on snout. Coloration bright green to blue-green, becoming yellow-green on belly. Juveniles grey-green.
Range and habitat
The species occurs in south-east Asia, from South China (province of Guangxi) to north and central Vietnam. Lives in forests, including degraded forests, near streams and lakes, to 1500 m.

IUCN RED LIST : LEAST CONCERN
CITES : Not listed
Status : The species is globally uncommon and occasionally collected for pet trade. Both this and deforestation could become threats in the future.
